Chicot Jail and Court Contacts

For current Chicot County jail custody, start with the sheriff's office. The Association of Arkansas Counties lists Sheriff Ronald Nichols at the Chicot County Sheriff's Office. No official Chicot sheriff roster, jail hours, or online request form was located, so call before traveling and ask what record identifiers are needed.

The best contact depends on the record type and where the person is held.

  • For a county jail custody check, use jail inmate records and call the sheriff's office.
  • For booking photos, use jail roster mugshots and ask the sheriff's records custodian about release rules.
  • For charges filed after an arrest, use court records after a jail arrest, Search ARCourts, or the Circuit Clerk.
  • For Lake Village police arrests, call 870-265-5055 and ask whether the person was released or transferred to the sheriff.
  • For Eudora police arrests, call 870-355-4412. Eudora public-information requests must be written and may be delivered, mailed, emailed, faxed, or submitted by letter to a city employee.
  • For sentenced state prisoners, search the Arkansas DOC locator or call Delta Regional Unit at 870-538-2000 if the person is assigned there.

Other Custody Systems

Arkansas VINE can help with custody and court-event notifications. Federal prisoners are searched through the Bureau of Prisons locator. Immigration detainees are searched through ICE ODLS. These systems are separate from the Chicot County Sheriff's Office, and none of them is a substitute for a direct call when a release, bond, visit, or court deadline is time-sensitive.
